Very nice and quiet campground. Campsites are spaced out enough to were you really won't hear anyone. It's a bit of walk to get in but most people are here for backpacking/hiking in general so you shouldn't be shocked. Vaulted toilets are kept in good condition. Only complaint is that it is pretty pricey ($20/night) especially for what little the site has to offer.

Nice rustic campground. We backpacked in. Out houses were clean. Had trouble getting the water pump to prime. We were the first to get there and had our pick of the sites. It was quite all day and we were surprised that most of the sites were filled with as quite as it was

An excellent place to camp and enjoy the out of doors with just a few simple comforts. When you arrive there will be a central notice board with some envelopes for you to slip cash payment into for your night's stay. In order to park your car at the nearby parking lots you will have needed to have purchsed a recreation pass, or you will need to being the additional money to buy a recreation pass. Fill out the form on the envelope to completion, insert your method of payment, and go to your chosen campsite. Site #3 was great, with some partial tree coverage. That helped because when we went in late August it rained quite a bit. The campsites are dirt/sand and there are restrooms nearby the central notice board, along with potable water, as well as a few trash cans. If you are hiking in make sure to get an early start, as the 18 mile loop, no matter which way you come (couter-clockwise is preferred) will take up several hours to travel over.

15 sites first come. Decent pit toilets, water pump. No wood in the area but each site has a fire pit.
