Such a hidden gem! You'll feel like you just landed in the middle of the Wild West or a cowboy Western movie set! So cool to walk around, well preserved, and totally free! Just check in at the office and head back to take photos to your heart's content.
It a cute and the staff was super friendly. We had heard/read that the ice cream shop was homemade ice cream but it was just bluebell. Just expect that. It is free to access pioneer town and it’s a wonderful place for pics! You won’t spend more time here but worth the stop.
We visited on Labor Day. It was a ghost town literally and figuratively. No one there! I’m not sure if anything ever happens here or if it’s just a fun place to stop and take pictures. It is on ranch property but is open for visits. There’s no entry fee or parking fees. There’s an outfitters/gift shop with sodas and water. There’s an ice cream shop next to the gift shop but it was closed. It’s cool to see but I wouldn’t drive out of my way (again) to stop.
Such a cute little historic town. Went boot chasing and tried to get pics of all of them. Great ice cream. Great trip to do for a couple of hours if you are in The San Marcos or New Braunfels area. You won’t be disappointed. Lots of little rustic shops and great to go antique shopping.
Cool little pioneer town to walk around.
This is a cute recreation of a western town in the 1880s. It’s free for you to roam around and check it out. Some of the mannequins are creepy, but it was fun to check out.
