We stayed here several nights while exploring the area. The campground is so close to everything! We were in site #12, a back-in site with 3 services. Could have been a challenge getting our 36' fifth wheel into our site if the site across from ours was occupied! Trees along the road made it a bit tight, but we managed. The trees in this loop of the campground also give each space quite a bit of privacy, so that is nice. There is a more open section with pull thru sites and very few trees, but there is no privacy. We preferred our area. But larger rigs may prefer to go to the more open loop. We didn't have wi-fi at our site, but we did have cell service.
RV Campground closes to St. John's everything. Most sites are deep and offers lots of privacy. Only problem is some narrow sites are difficult in backing in.
Nice campground close to downtown making it very convenient to use as a base camp but also a bit noisy due to traffic. Staff were pleasant and helpful. If you are staying in the area with trees, lots are a bit on the narrow side but otherwise very nice. Bathrooms and showers are a bit dated but kept clean. Small store and laundromat for your convenience. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks
Very expensive when you add all the extras, like a fire pit ring for $10 a night. Nice and convenient though inside the city. This park used to be for locals in the city to enjoy camping with their kids. Now it's a gold mine for the gov so they can milk the tourists.
All season are great at the park. Winter activities starts during the first week of January with snow shoes and cross country ski rentals at North Bank Lodge. Look for opening hours because they are not open every day. Free access to groomed ski trails. Lots of parking space. During the summertime it's a trailer and camping grounds with free access to pedestrians and bicycles. Wonderful trails all year-round.
