I had the absolute best time at this campsite due to its incredible location, beatiful grounds with magnificent trees, a spectacular ocean view, jade farming at jade cove, clean facilities, and the most awesome compassionate hosts. Michael made me feel welcomed from the very beginning and is a source of a wealth of knowledge with great stories. My trip through Big Sur was so pleasantly memorable because of my stay at Plaskett Creek Campground. Thank you!!!!
Plaskett Creek Campground is my favorite place to relax and unwind. From falling asleep to the sound of the waves, to taking long hikes along the beautiful bluffs, it really is an outstanding experience. The camp hosts, Michael and Punky, make your stay more entertaining, more informative, and they are extremely friendly and helpful.
This was my second year camping here. I have camped at Site 33 and 38. Site 33 is by far the best as it offers the best privacy. Mike the camp host is phenomenal and made the entire experience camping here great. If you have any questions on where to hike or want any information on all things local, he has you covered. All in all it's been pleasant experiences both times. The photos are of site 38.
Great experience from the hosts Michael and Punky, bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. Great customer service and super friendly. We would wave $$ at them as they drove by at night time buy firewood. :-) great family environment, highly recommend staying there. Very safe and family friendly.
Absolutely phenomenal in every way. Perfectly situated/located just a 5 minute hike down to the beach. Some spots in the center will even have a glimpse of ocean views. The campground was amazingly clean, bathrooms were large and spotless, each site had a picnic table, flat asphalt pad, private bbq grill, and fire pit. Reservations are well managed and placed on each site to ensure they are in stone (we were worried about losing our reservation because we showed up late due to hwy 1 closure), but it was waiting for us and the hosts assured us this would never happen. We were camping newbies, and this site made it really easy. Plenty of families with kids getting by just fine; but not dense enough for the kids to be annoying to everyone else -- sorry not sorry. As you might anticipate for this area, there is ZERO cell coverage; so plan accordingly. Also, no showers means you should bring a few water jugs with you to shower.
