We just had a weekend-long family reunion at The Fort and I was extremely impressed overall. From the beginning, Kindra and the rest of the staff were such a joy to work with. They were thorough, responsive, and so helpful in getting us set up! The venue itself is stunning and the views are unbeatable! Nothing like spending the day near the river, watching the longhorns, exploring, and ending the day with stunning sunsets. The kitchen was so well stocked and we had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large family! There’s plenty of space for everyone to lounge, play, visit, and relax. You really get more than your monies worth staying here! Thank you for hosting us for such an amazing weekend!
While planning our company retreat and figuring out the logistics Kendra Main and her staff at Platte River Fort were incredibly helpful and timely to respond. Answering all of our questions, providing detailed video tours so we understood the layout of the rooms and could plan our 2 day, 3 night retreat. They even reached out the day before knowing we would have a snowstorm and for the safety of our colleagues offered the rooms that we had not booked for that first night free, so that all of our colleagues could arrive safely and enjoy our Nourishing retreat. That is service that goes above and beyond and we are incredibly grateful! Overall this was the perfect spot to host a comfortable, relaxed and nourishing retreat. We loved having the separate spaces for our colleagues to spread out and have group discussions, have quiet time in the morning for coffee and look out at the beautiful scenery, sit by the fireplace for evening chats. Our team of 14 was able to configure each living space to meet our needs and still have a wonderful view and cozy feeling.
Wow! This place was incredible! We had a family reunion here and I can't imagine a better location to host it! We had family come in from all over the US and it was wonderful having a place that we could all stay onsite! With the large indoor areas, along with the courtyard and grassy areas with gorgeous views - there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and play. The Platte River Fort Staff were all very kind and helpful and great with communication. I could not reccommend it more for hosting a family reunion, wedding, or other events.
The Platte River Fort always amazes me! I have had several events there and they always exceed expectations. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and well-kept; very elegant but super comfortable and welcoming. The staff are exceptional and very accommodating. Cindy is always my bestie event planner - she could not be more helpful and flexible! Chuck always is there to assist with anything needed, and offers to help above and beyond! Brandy, Kendra, and Hannah are always very friendly and helpful for the guests. Rooms are super nice - especially the suites inside the Fort - and having use of the living and kitchen/dining areas makes things so very handy! People who have never been to The Fort are always very surprised that this kind of place is right here in Greeley!
Our first attempt to camp at the Platte River Fort was in the fall of 2021. Unfortunately, my entire family came down with COVID and we lost my father and aunt within two weeks of each other. As they were hospitalized during the time we had booked, we had no choice but to cancel our reservation to focus on their health, and our own. Management was so kind and were willing to work with us, allowing us to cancel the reservation and reimbursed us the money, even though that was outside of their cancelation policy. We finally were able to camp there last summer and had the very best experience! Very nice, clean and well maintained camp sites and we had a fabulous time just floating the river. We are scheduled to return for a family camping trip next weekend and plan to enjoy this campground for many camping trips to come. On behalf of myself and my family, we can not say thank you enough for creating such fun place to retreat to and a HUGE thank you to the wonderful staff!
