Lots of garbage around the campground and the pit toilets are some of the worst I’ve seen (probably due to people throwing garbage in them). We could hear the road from our site by the river. The river is beautiful and being so close to Lake Michigan is a huge bonus might need to try this one again during the summer but this trip left me unimpressed.

Was not a bad campground by any means. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people that come here are pretty trashy in the means of not taking what they brought. Seen a lot of trash amongst areas of the campground, especially by the river. We enjoyed ourselves and the campground in a whole is beautiful. But definitely one of the dirtiest I've been to in awhile.

This place is a Gem ! Very spacious sites, plenty of shade, decent river access to cool & refresh. Hand pumps & pits. Town of Honor 5 minutes away for supplies. Can't wait to come back !

What a great deal! If you are trying to get last minute camping near sleeping bear dunes this is the place. The bathrooms are vaulted but clean. No showers. But the best thing is all the sites are spread out. Definalty some of the best rustic camping I have experienced. Stayed at site 13.

Visited in the winter, so I had the campground to myself. There are plenty of sites, but they are located fairly close together. You can hear/see the river from some sites. Firepits and picnic tables at every site. Water pump and vault toilets available.
