We had the perfect weekend staying at Pleasant River! Our cabin was so cozy, clean, well-decorated, and rustic, making for a perfect weekend getaway. Bathroom was well-stocked with toiletries and towels and we had everything we needed with kitchen appliances. Staff was super friendly and made check in/out so easy. The cabins are in a perfect location, close to restaurants and a quick, easy drive to the mountain to ski. Thank you for a great stay, we will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Josh’s place. It was quiet and peaceful. The house was so clean. We loved using the hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked and we enjoyed cooking dinner here and going out after. Josh was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It was so nice they were dog friendly. Would highly recommend booking this place! Can’t wait to come back!
A group of us stayed here for the weekend and had the absolute best time! The cabins are so clean and cozy. Perfect place to stay if you plan on skiing/exploring the town. Will definitely be back!!
We stayed mid-week September so it wasn't busy. Staff was helpful getting us a site that we felt worked for us and were willing to help with anything else we needed. We stayed in the up front sites, where it is open and suitable for larger rigs. There are many more trees in the back area. The front area could use some landscaping between the sites and perhaps better defined site boundaries. The front are was basically a dirt parking lot. But they are improving things, including building shelters over the hook-ups so they could stay open all winter. We were concerned about the drive up into the campground area and the possibility of hitting under our fifth wheel nose with our truck bed sides when the truck leveled out - but it wasn't a problem. It is a good location for touring the area.
Pleasant River Campground is a lovely place to stay! Excellent location close to Bethel. The new ownership is really improving the property. I just stayed in one of their brand new cabins- I had to do some remote work and the Wi-Fi was Incredible. I can’t wait to come back.
Amazing place to stay! So well kept, & they have a variety of different sites to choose from, open or more secluded by trees. We opted for a more secluded site that was still very close to the bathhouse which was beautifully maintained. The management is amazing, Jeanne specifically was so helpful, kind and accommodating. Can’t wait to come up again, & hopefully stay in one of their new cabins or at their river site!
I spent a few nights at Pleasant River Campground for a ski trip to Sunday River, and I highly recommend it! The lodge was beautiful, well-maintained, and perfectly located—just a short drive from the mountain, making early morning runs easy and convenient. The accommodations were extremely clean, cozy, and stocked with everything you’d expect for a comfortable stay. After long days on the slopes, it was great to come back to a warm and inviting space with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of room to relax. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the surrounding scenery made it feel like a true winter retreat. Whether you're here for skiing, snowboarding, or just a quiet getaway, Pleasant River Campground is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip!
We can’t say enough good things about Josh and his crew. We had an unfortunate experience with an exploding rim on our camper and Pleasant River just happened to be where it happened. They rushed to our assistance moments after pulling into their parking lot. Their sense of hospitality and community are above standard.
