Great off grid spot just a few minutes from The ORG & Bishop. No hook ups. The camp road in to the sites - maybe a mile - is dirt and rock. But no pot holes or ruts (as of 9/2023), just go slow and you'll be fine even if you baby your rig like we do. We got 4G in the camp too, you only loose it on the dirt road until you get back to the highway. There were plenty of spots available when we dropped in multiple nights.
Inexpensive, very scenic and the toilets are clean! The only thing is the road going in, a bit rough but we managed to handle it with our rental van. This campsite is popular among the climbers around bishop and can be a bit loud at night
This place has never turned us away. No cell phone coverage. No water. No shade. No trash collection. The winds are blowing hard - spots next to the walls provide moderate relief. Picnic tables and the views provided. Bring $5 in cash and breathe all of those mountain views in.
Basic camping with toilets. Scenic views. $5/nite. Quiet. A Lot of camp sites. My complaint is the road going in. It will shake your fillings out. Dirt road with rocks embedded & sticking up. 4 mph in my full size van.
Great value campsite, at $5 it’s only a 10 minute drive to Bishop. Bring your own water. Road was bumpy but fine in our small car. It can definitely get hot here, we parked our car east of our tent to avoid getting overheated the second the sun rises!
