We had a great stay at the Pleasant View Resort in Lake City, CO. The cabins were very clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The outdoor amenities provided by Pleasant View are great as well. The kids loved playing on the playground, and enjoyed cooking s’mores in the fire pit at night. We utilized the charcoal grill for a cookout one evening and enjoyed our morning coffees on the front porch. Jim and Nita were great hosts and very accommodating to our family. We will definitely be back.
Jim and Nita could not have been more polite and courteous during our stay. They make you feel welcome from the minute you arrive until you leave. Our family felt right at home in our cabin and around the campfire. The cabin could not have been any cleaner. They take great pride in keeping this resort in top shape. We also decided to rent a jeep while we were there. Pleasant View Resort has everything you need! What a lovely city Lake City is. We cannot wait to come back again the end of the summer.
We had a fantastic time at Pleasant View. The cabins are quaint and rustic with vintage decorations. A lot of fun and sets the right feel for being in Lake City. We travel a lot, and the customer service here was the best I've ever experienced. When our Jeep had a flat tire, Jim provided us a spare and then took our flat in to have it fixed. He was always doing things to help us out and make sure our stay was excellent. This is a top notch operation and the folks there really make you feel at home. Highly recommended!
What an amazing place to stay. The owners are so nice and accommodating. We stayed at their wonderful cabins and rented their rides and had an amazing time. The avalanches had closed a lot of the trails but Jim gave us other trails and they were awesome. We are looking forward to our next trip in 2020 and will definitely be staying here and renting from them. So happy the vote went in your favor!!!!!
Overpriced —this is the most expensive Colorado lodging I’ve stayed in and it is in the worst condition. Having stayed in cabins from coast to coast, the prices at Pleasant View Resort –which is not a resort in any sense of the word– are incredibly high. The towels and linens are threadbare and torn. The cabins themselves appear to have not been updated since the 1970s. This isn’t quite retro, though this couch and east chair set was quaint. The in-wall gas heater and the gas stove are both filling the cabin interior with emissions that are worse than side-stream cigarette smoke. The mattresses are lumpy. This place is a rip-off, charging prices higher than other locations for much lower lodging conditions. Even in the interior photo posted here by the cabin manager on Google, you can clearly see the torn-up upholstery on the chair in the kitchen. While I agree with other reviews that mention how clean the cabins are, it is clean and musty with torn, threadbare bed clothes and the stench of gas stove emissions, all for a premium price.
