I went to visit family at their campsite for a birthday party it was very nice they had clean bathrooms plus porta potty with soap and nearby access to water faucet which was great also for cleaning up BBQ sauce after dinner and there were dumpsters nearby to dispose of trash which was nice and the water was close and easily accessible the kids had a blast we used nearby tree for pinata and had a wonderful time. The scenery was absolutely incredible and the fresh air amazing time all around I will be coming and renting a spot myself soon!!
Pleasure cove is a beautiful place. Unfortunately the water in the lake is decreasing to an astonishingly low level. If you want to visit I would definitely recommend coming in the off season (not summer) as it's much more calm and peaceful and there are plenty of cabins available. The store is also a great place to resupply, but it's a little hidden behind one of the buildings facing the water.
Love this place, especially when the lake is full and the fishing is great, 20 plus pound catfish. Good place to get away for a couple of days and close to home .
The RV spots tucked into the ravine are beautiful, especially the seasonal creek, during months of rain fall is very peaceful.
This campground is the most unloved, unmanaged, and unmaintained campground we've ever stayed in. Even with the tallest leveling blocks, you're not getting your RV level in these sites. The full hookup sites are treacherous to back into. No one is monitoring this place. It's 11pm and there's a group partying in the day use parking area. The group site above us partied until the sun came up last this morning. The roads are filled with loose gravel and potholes. No one checks you in or verifies you belong here. Anyone can come and go. Do better.
