Great little campground for an overnight. Just far enough off the highway for no road noise. Peaceful and quiet. Well maintained. Long, level sites. Full hookups. Bath house looked nice but didn’t use it. We had site 16 which was at the end and thought it was great; no one on our passenger side.

We have stayed here before and it was well maintained. This time the grass was yellow and dried out. We arrived to find out that the sewer wasn't working at our site. We stayed five days and it was very windy all but one of those days. The day that wasn't windy was crazy with bugs. Anything with a light was covered with them. Mosquitoes were very bad as well. The next morning we had spiders everywhere. Our site had good shade, but I noticed many sites did not. Despite what it may look like on a satellite view there is no access to the water from the campground unless you walk a ways down the road. They have a day use area with gazebos and a swimming beach. There is an old train tunnel within walking distance and McNary Dam has a visitor center and fish viewing area. Overall, Army Corps of Engineers really should keep up on the maintenance better.

A nice park but would recommend that you reserved a site. We were late getting a spot and we ended up in the tent overflow area. And 5:am this morning the sprinklers went off. Our stuff got wet, good thing they had a washer and dryer. The lake is right next to some sites but there is boat ramp down the road about 1/2 mile with swimming area. They take America the beautiful discount cards.

The South sites get little to no shade during the day. Lots of flies but not particularly aggressive ones, especially at night. There are electrical and water hookups at all sites, and all sites appeared to have a decently sized gravel patch to set up on. At the edges of my camp, there were many flat but very spikey plants, that shredded the bottoms of my shoes and would easily shed the bottom of a tent or tarp if not careful. It can also get quite windy, my tent was getting quite flat to the point I had someone come ask if I was doing okay in my tent, I believe wind speeds were about 26 miles per hour, only for a few hours and only one night.

Definitely a relaxing place. Bugs get heavy at night. The crowd here is older and wealthier for the most part. Pet friendly, but be careful of possibly unfriendly pets (always ask before petting). Nothing here was bad, but nothing remarkable either. Tent camping is permitted but not advisable due to the sprinkler system.

Nice campground. Water and sewer hook ups not working. Okay place to overnight and move on.
