The campground emphasizes a quiet and secure environment, with security patrols contributing to a sense of safety, especially for solo campers. However, potential campers should be aware of the limited water access in the tent camping area and the restriction on lake access.

It is important to note that the creek may be dry, which could impact the overall experience. Additionally, the cleanliness of the women's restrooms has been a point of concern for some reviewers. The misleading information regarding lake access should be taken into consideration before booking.

For local residents seeking a rustic and quiet camping experience near Groveland, PML Campground provides a viable option. However, it is essential to be aware of the water access limitations and lake usage restrictions. Plan accordingly and consider the potential cleanliness issues with the restrooms.

This campground is a basic campground. At the top of the campground, there’s a mix of full hookups and just water spouts. The bottom is tent camping only and must have shared water spouts. It’s rustic and quiet with door codes required for the restrooms and showers. PML security drives through a couple of times a day which is nice when camping alone

I book from from 8/30/24to 902/24 place is chill but The creek is dry , the women’s restrooms are dirty and on their website, they give you misleading information. You’re not allowed to go in the lake if you’re not a resident so be aware when you book

We were severely disappointed with our stay at this campsite. On the first night the power went out and didn't come back on until well into the next day which caused us to lose $60 in groceries we just bought, my husband lost 2hrs of work on his desktop computer, and we couldn't sleep all night because of how hot it was. By 10am the next morning the power was still out, but we couldn't waste the day we planned to spend at the national park just waiting see if the power would return so we had to leave again without refrigeration or a/c which caused some of my expensive cosmetics to melt while siting in the heat all day. The restrooms near us were also closed so we had to inconveniently drive across the park to shower and use the restroom, which was not communicated when we made the reservation or upon confirmation. Not all spots are easy to pull in, either, if you have a low rig. It took four tries to get into our spot and there are some very steep hills you will have to navigate. While it was cheap, it wasn't worth the inconveniences and we wish we would have stayed elsewhere.

Beautiful and peacefull place to stay. Only there was nobody around from the park, we had no codes for toilet and shower and did not know what to do.

Nice campground with bathrooms and showers. We camped here for a white water rafting trip down the tuolumne river. It was nice and clean and the camping spots had plenty of room. Our spot didn't have any electricity or running water but we had planned on that.
