Always a good visit. VA state parks offer free admission/parking if you have a handicap placard. There is also a form online to request free access if you don’t have a placard handy. Otherwise they spot your blue card in the windshield and wave you right on in without issue. Wish other state parks did this!!
One of our favorite places to camp. Close to convenient ammenities for shopping in town. Campsites are large and private with areas of nice wooded coverage for shade. Plus loads of hiking and biking trails. There is a large pool with Waterpark that is a fun place to cool off. There are nice gravel areas with picnic tables and firepits.
It was so big the gave us a map upon entering. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but I can't wait to return. The staff was very friendly!
The pool and kids area are great! My kids love this place!
Really nice park and campground. Great trails and good for bikes. Kid friendly. CCC Museum was great.
