It’s a little hard to find and the road is a little rough but doable in a 2wheel or all wheel drive. Just make sure you enter in from county road 7 then turn down 45. Coming from the south on 45 is extremely treacherous!! You will get stuck on a rock or in mud. Very beautiful and clean!
This was our last camping trip of the season. Super windy but sunny day on Saturday and snow on Sunday morning. Nice camping spot alongside the river. We had spot 9 which had some trees and some large ricks behind us. All spaces were very spacious and each spot had a picnic table, a fire pit and a raised spot for the tent. There was one bathroom. The dirt road to get there was pretty narrow. The sunset over the river was beautiful.
Cool, small camping area right on the river. It's a long bumpy ride to get to it, but it has some nice spots. We stayed at the very last one but had to run off some sketchy locals who had claimed it without a reservation. There is a pit toilet at the entrance, which wasn't close to our site at all. No running water, so be sure to bring plenty. Stars were beautiful, and it was so nice to sit by the river.
Amazing campground! Stayed here for a few nights and loved it. Good length dirt road takes you out to a little peninsula on the river! Great new fire rings at every campsite and a clean restroom available. Road is kind of close but it is across the river. Would definitely recommend! It is reservation only so make sure you do not show up without one. The park ranger does coke by and check in.
great campsite! super quiet and river access at site #1712
