My kids and I took a day trip here, and I am still in awe of the beauty within this park! Clean, well maintained and so much wildlife to watch. There are a TON of jellyfish, so swim at your own risk-- but we enjoyed watching them swim from the fishing pier. We also saw many fish, birds, and dolphins on the bay side. We appreciated the outdoor showers and the bathroom facilities. We will definitely return.

If you're looking for an outdoor escape with views of the Chesapeake Bay, this is where you can find it! Relaxing shoreline, nice breeze and folks from every walk of life and age group just enjoying the beautiful nature around them. If you are anywhere near the DC area, this is not that far away and worth every mile to get here 😁

It's very pretty and relaxing. No need for you to bring your own grill since they do offer them. The restroom floors are always wet because of showers and people going in and out of the water and sand, so be careful. The trees offer great shade.

Been to this place several times over the past couple years. From my experience, the staff are always nice and willing to help visitors, the beaches are kept relatively clean, and the water is beautiful when it’s not jellyfish season so just watch out for that in the late summer months. If you’re going fishing or want souvenirs, the one store there was closed the past several times I visited, not sure why. I typically stop at Buzzy’s country store now for night crawlers or other bait like squid, etc.

It is always so relaxing coming to this park. It’s clean, free of too much human interference, and of course the views are stunning.
