Point Pleasant Resort & Campgrounds Introduce
The name "Point Pleasant Resort & Campgrounds" refers to two distinct yet equally inviting destinations, each offering a unique take on outdoor accommodation under the "Campgrounds & RV Parks" category. One, a luxurious resort in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, caters to those seeking a high-end tropical escape, while the other, a serene campground in Madison Lake, Minnesota, provides a more traditional, lake-focused camping experience. This introduction will detail both, showcasing their individual environments, services, features, and promotional aspects.
The Point Pleasant Resort in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, is a luxurious haven tucked into a lush tropical landscape. Carved into a 15-acre hillside preserve, the resort offers extraordinary, panoramic views of Water Bay, the Caribbean Sea, and the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. The environment is vibrant and verdant, characterized by abundant tropical flora, winding nature trails, and stunning vistas from nearly every vantage point. The resort prides itself on an environmentally friendly design, having received awards for preserving the natural beauty of the property and designing buildings to fit the land. It features its own intimate "Sugar Beach," providing guests with direct access to pristine sands and crystal-clear waters, and is conveniently located near other popular beaches like Coki Point Beach and Lindquist Beach. The overall atmosphere is one of tranquil paradise, where the sounds of nature blend with the soothing rhythm of the ocean, creating an ideal setting for relaxation and rejuvenation.
The services at Point Pleasant Resort are comprehensive and geared towards a high-end vacation experience. Guests can choose from spacious vacation condos and villas, many featuring private balconies or patios, fully equipped kitchens (with refrigerator, microwave, oven, stovetop), separate sitting areas, and comfortable furnishings. Key resort-wide services include three mesmerizing ocean-view swimming pools scattered across the property, ensuring a refreshing escape within short walking distance from any villa. Dining options are excellent, with two exceptional on-site restaurants: Sun and Sea Bar and Grill, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Ocean 180, offering fine dining with breathtaking views. Free Wi-Fi is available in both public areas and individual villas, providing seamless connectivity. The resort offers a complimentary on-site shuttle service for easy navigation around the hilly property. Other conveniences include a coffee shop/cafe, a gift shop for snacks, drinks, and souvenirs, free grocery shopping service, and laundry facilities. The resort also provides a 24/7 security presence and a dedicated team of staff ready to assist with activity recommendations, dinner reservations, or even grocery delivery, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay. Pets are not allowed, but service animals are welcome.
The features of Point Pleasant Resort are designed for both active engagement and serene relaxation. Beyond the three swimming pools and private beach, guests can explore unique tropical nature trails that wind through the 2.5-acre property, ingeniously carved by hand to follow the curve of the land. These trails lead to various lookouts with spacious covered areas for resting and enjoying the views. Water-based activities are prominent, with opportunities for kayaking directly from the private beach. While the resort offers a tranquil escape, it is also strategically located minutes from major St. Thomas attractions like Coral World Ocean Park, Red Hook (known for dining and ferry services to St. John and the British Virgin Islands), and offers easy access to ecotours, golfing, horseback riding, swimming, and ziplining in the wider area. Each villa typically includes air conditioning, in-room safes, coffee/tea makers, and televisions, enhancing the comfort of the stay. The option of self-catering with fully equipped kitchens provides flexibility for guests. The resort's history, dating back to 1971, showcases a long-standing commitment to providing memorable vacations in this idyllic Caribbean setting.

They promote direct booking for "exclusive discounts" and personalized service. The resort highlights its various villa types, from one-bedroom condos to larger two-bedroom villas, showcasing floor plans and views to entice potential guests. Seasonal closures for dining venues (e.g., September 16 to October 31) are transparently communicated, allowing guests to plan accordingly. Customer Reviews
This is a great RV resort. Very quite with friendly people.
What a joke for an owner. The organization and bookkeeping was terrible. Never knew what we owed or what we currently paid, and also charged for guests to visit. The previous renter of our sites didn’t have to pull his camper off the lot until we sent many messages. This was weeks into summer before we were able to start using the site.
It's a beautiful place! Has wonderful Sunsets
Well planned and fun activities! The chili and soup were excellent, the hayride was super fun, the bonfire was a highlite and Santa and gifts were a great surprise. I WILL COME AGAIN.
