Great State Park. Excellent hiking trails that are well marked. Plenty of activities to do in the park! Very clean and well maintained camp grounds. Very Dog friendly!
10-2-24 thru 10-7-24 Site 370 Cellular, TMOBILE 5G, 3 bars. 21’ Apex Nano w truck. Gravel pad, fire pit and grass is about 12” lower than pad. Keep in mind if expecting rain. Showers are old, warm with 2 hooks, 2 toilets and 2 urnials. Fire pit needs to be reset in the ground, it sit too high. Awesome trails to hike. Maintenance was awesome changing out a breaker on the box.
Great 4 season state park. Nice roomy camp sites and clean shower / restrooms.
Very nice, quiet park. We visited in early October, so we didn’t swim and the water and beach looked great. We walked through our section (we had site 511), and the 300s & 400s. (The 200s are non-electric.) We like to be a bit secluded but still fairly close to a shower house, so our site was pretty good and it looked like 521 would be great. Many sites are on the small side and have some slope. We also visited the 100s and they are up high overlooking Lake James. Again many are pretty tilted, but it’s easy to see why these sites are often hard to reserve. Site 111 looked to be the best. Restrooms were very clean with plenty of hot water, though the shower fixtures are rust-stained. We had a short stay and would likely stay again if we come back to the area…looks like plenty to do. Would have rated 5 stars but for so many small and sloping sites.
Amazing views and time well spent with family. Book your spot in advance so you know what you get! Many different parks on site that the kids can play at.
Had a great time. It was busy for April but it was pleasant and low key. Just what we wanted.
We camped during March. A cooler time then most but fun all together. People are very helpful.The inn is beautiful and the view on the back end are amazing. Food in their dinning hall is a very good reason to visit again. Plenty for the kiddos to do inside the in and outside.
