Stayed overnight in our 30 ft travel trailer pulled by a Ford 350 Supercab. This campground is in the woods, so driving is really tricky. There are trees everywhere which is lovely, but tricky. It's along the Conejos river so many people were there to fish. We were passing thru but very familiar with the area. We had full hook-ups, not all sites do. They only have 30 amp and request that you don't run the air-conditioner. As it gets nice and cool at night, the air conditioner wasn't necessary. It was a very pretty spot. It is at very high elevation. We camped at Ponderosa Campground in a Travel Trailer
Beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful. Have been coming to this campground for a few years now. The new $5 per child per night fee (who stays in our RV) is a little outrageous. So, we will stay up the road at Aspen Glade in the future. Significantly less, and they don't care how many kids in tow.
We just finished are 2nd summer trip to this gem of a campground this time we had family join us one in the camp site next to us and the other in a cabin this place is so relaxing we have already booked for next summer , the owners and camp host staff are very good this will be are yearly outing going forward.
Very rustic, but perfect for my wife &I, and our Miniature Schnauzer! It does have WIFI & close to Conejes River! Very quiet., microwave, stove top, small refrigerator, queen bed & DBL in the loft. Great furnace & screened in front porch to view river. Shower & toilet. No TV This is a wonderful cabin with just the basics!
One of, if not THE, best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. Service was incredible, the owner was super friendly and kind and helped in any way he possibly could! The campground is beautiful and very quiet along with a lot of animal life. So peaceful and I was able to relax completely, all the neighbors were very kind and helpful, too. Clean and private restrooms and each campsite had a lot of space! Definitely will be going back again and staying for even longer next time. Thank you for your hospitality! Respectfully, Angelo.
