Customer Reviews
The campground has a very laid back vibe and the staff is very accommodating. The prices are affordable, the grounds are pleasant and the amenities are just what we were looking for. It's not stuffy and doesn't try to be a resort. A perfect blend for relaxation at a fair price.
Me and my brother stayed here about a year ago and actually trade some work for our stay. The owners are some of the best people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my life and look forward to stopping in if I ever find myself in New Mexico again.
Very nice campground for the price. We stayed 3 nights and had an excellent spot on the end. The host MaryJane was very friendly and made sure our stay was pleasant.
The campground was a wonderful experience for me. It is on the small side and a few of the spaces are tight. But most are reasonable. Mine was an awesome spot. The owners and camp host were absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. It came highly recommended to me before I even got here. The bathrooms are clean. The water pressure was strong and the temperature will get hot if you want it. The game room had a great variety of games from foos ball to air hockey and the vending machine worked as desired. And the wifi was pretty good too.
Spent four nights here. We had an issue with our trailer and the owner was very flexible with us with our arrival time. Relatively new owners with obvious recent positive changes. We received a very level and shady pull thru site with fhu. Rv sites could be better arranged and marked clearer. Met some very nice fellow campers there. Great water pressure in the clean showers and nice laundry. Deer everywhere. CG is close to Cimarron with convenient gas station, Rocky’s, that had great chicken fingers and fried okra. A visit to the welcome center in town is a must! Friendly staff and so full of information about the local area. The Mercantile next to the St. James Hotel had great baked goods and sandwiches and, again, friendly staff. We stayed due to the proximity of the Cimarron River for fly fishing. Well stocked fishing shop in Ute just before the state park. Saw an elk herd in the woods nearby. The Philmont Scout Ranch surrounds the area and keeps local businesses busy. Interesting history. We would definitely stay again.
