If I could give this campground negative stars I would. You spend a fortune camping with your family and get treated like garbage. The girl at the front desk was HORRIBLE! So rude it was kind of disturbing. I don’t know how a company would want someone like that working for them! Especially being one of the first people your guests see! The lady sitting in the entrance booth was awful as well. When dealing with the public you would think she would be welcoming but she is as the opposite. Never again will I be giving this campground any money and will tell everyone I know to go somewhere else! Happy Camping!

Stayed for the Halloween start off that they do up here every year. Some of our friends have been going for years and this was our first time and they sell out every year in advance. Camp grounds were nice. We stayed at our friend's camper/tent. The cabins from the outside look good, but this is a camping trip and cabin isn't camping. Since I have been out of the service, camping isn't my thing anymore. I actually enjoyed this and will be coming back again and again. The main reason is because of the amenities. They have bathroom and shower facilities on site and it makes it very convenient since the camper shower was just to tight for me to maneuver around in. There is a general store, pizza place, go karts, train and etc. It's a wonderful family time and that is really what it is all about. Being outside and if you want to go to Port Huron it is literally 5 mins out the gate.

Great! WE LOVE Halloween Camping, it's amazing the effort that sites dedicated to making everyone feel excited about Halloween. The staff is very friendly! Everything is conveniently located. The bathrooms & showers are clean. I used the outdoor cooking area to prep our food. This is our family's 7th annual camping trip, and we look forward to it every year!

The operating manager by the name of PAT. honestly needs to be fired. This man was verbally abusive to me for no reason, there was a small misunderstanding that led to have to leave my car parked and run inside and get it sorted out. he was screaming in my face, puffing his chest up to me and banging on my window even when i tried to leave he was following on foot screaming at me. the police should have honestly been called but it was like a was frozen in shock and too scared to call them. When talking to other campers he treated them the same way screaming and yelling at them and getting in their faces in a threating manner. I have never had a man treat me like this in my life especially at a place of business. He was so out of control other campers were coming up to me and offering comfort and validation of his complete inappropriate behavior not to mention how this abuse effected the workers inside registering guests. When i asked for the guy's name the workers shared, they were instructed not to give it out which was just so weird to me. I am questioning if the workers are also being abused. If this company values its customers, this guy should not have a job. we will not be coming back unless guy has been fired.

I found this KOA is a good choice for this area, especially when staying over with children. Many activities within this KOA for kids. I also noted it was well run and maintained I liked the access to the paved bike path that is adjacent to this KOA. My wife attended their annual Halloween event with her children and grandchildren which requires booking many months in advance - very popular event.

We recently stayed at this campground with our kids, and while there were some highlights, our overall experience was mixed. On the plus side, our kids had a great time making new friends, and the weekend activities at the pavilion were fun and well-organized. However, the campground felt almost too large to be managed effectively. There’s a lengthy list of rules, but it doesn’t seem like anyone is enforcing them. Campers regularly walked through our site with no regard for personal space, and etiquette was pretty much non-existent. A major safety concern was the number of kids driving golf carts recklessly. We witnessed a group of teens nearly crash into a younger child on an electric scooter — definitely not something you want to see on a family trip. The bathroom near our site was also disappointing. It smelled strongly of feces, and the attached showers reeked of sewage. On top of that, the water temperature was either freezing cold or scalding hot — no in-between. Lastly, we paid for four nights, not realizing that Sawmill City wasn't open, and the campground’s own facilities shut down by 2 p.m. during the week. That left us with very little to do outside of the weekend. This place has potential, especially for social kids, but it needs better oversight, maintenance, and transparency to be worth a return visit.

Very nice modern sites, however did not have enough bandwidth to stream. The Employees were extremely nice and professional. Our site had a grill with LP gas. Also a beautiful Gazebo! Stamped Concrete patios picnic table and a glider next to the fire pit. Pricing was fair. Camped many years ago, still a great camping spot. My Wife works from our RV so my only complaint is invest in better WiFi. Will be back!

My family goes here the 1st weekend in June every year. It is always an amazing time. It has plenty of activities for the kids. From Go-Karts, batting cages, putt -putt golf, water bumper boats, train ride through the camp site, an arcade, horseshoes for adults, 2 beach volleyball spots, 2 very nice swimming pools, face painting, and of course several basketball and tennis courts. It is so nice and big you must rent a golf cart to get around the complex. It also has a very nice outside kitchen that has 8 cooki g eyes and sinks to wash you dishes and for cleaning. The community showers and bathrooms are very clean too.It also has dining restaurants there is you not outside cooking type. It's an absolute blast and good time.

We have been here previously and unfortunately this trip was extremely disappointing. Although this campground offers a lot of nice sites and amenities, it’s seems they are not really as “family friendly “ as koa used to be. If you have small children I would highly recommend to seek an alternative. The staff and the guest do not follow the speed limit and the golf carts, cars and electric scooters were driving extremely fast and recklessly throughout the weekend and when brought to the staffs attention no announcements or reminders were sent out. My kids are not just the age or riding with no training wheels and I was anxious the whole time even letting them ride supervised. This has also become quite a party campground with tons of unsupervised RUDE children walking around spewing all sorts of profanity. I’ll be seeing an alternative in the future.
