First time staying at Powder Horn (off season) and I plan to come back again! Very friendly people & the bathrooms were always clean. We don’t have little babies or toddlers anymore but this would be a great campground for those of you who do. They have a separate pool and playground for littles! There is tighter campsites & then really spacious ones too, it was good to drive around the campground to get ideas on where we would like to be next time. This time we were against the road and yes it was noisy at certain times but nothing that ear plugs couldn’t fix. I loved how big the sites were and the location so it was worth it imo

We come 2-3 times per season and every trip is great. The pools are fantastic and the location with the trolley to the beach can’t be beat. Bathrooms are always spotless and there are plenty of large sites so you’re not right on top of your neighbors. We look forward to visiting again every time we leave.

We have been coming to Powderhorn for years. The staff are helpful, bathrooms are clean and if they are not, one call and they are there in minutes. We really have never had a bad site, almost all have been suitable for our travel trailer. The pool out back is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoy the live music on weekends.

Powder Horn was recommended to me by a friend, and I’ll admit the contrast in pricing to other campground around Maine had me very skeptical. While it seemed wildly overpriced at first I started to tally up all the amenities and conveniences PHFCG has to offer. We decided to book for 2 nights and upon arrival we were all in awe! What an amazing campground. Well maintained, great staff, clean CLEAN clean grounds and restrooms, and plenty to do. While finding our site was a bit of a challenge once we got to it, there was a great band playing at the pool and while it’s not your typical camping atmosphere I had to remind myself this is a resort style campground and even though I’m sleeping in a tent the facility and amenities were more of a hotel resort. +The children had a blast in all the pools, played mini golf, got in some arcade time, safely wandered around. +The children are SAFE here! Kids are ripping around on bikes and playing everywhere without worry of stranger danger. PHFCG really assures family safety and it was felt and appreciated. Made our short period of time so much more relaxing. +We very much loved taking the trolley to the beach. Another great amenity adults ride for $2 and kids for $1. +My favorite part was the adult hot tub! 18+ very hot tub. +The store was well stocked and not price gouging. We stayed a Saturday and Sunday night and wow did the camp ground clear out Sunday. My only piece of constructive feedback is the one I have with every camp ground. Check out is at 11:00 and as the lead in the camping situation it is always impossible for me to get everyone fed, packed and break down the tents and car packed by 11 without feeling wicked stressed. I do wish check out was noon. Overall my group was more than impressed and will definitely stay again. We plan on staying a full week in the future to truly enjoy the maximum resort experience.

Great place to camp, lots of space between campsites. They have a shuttle for $2 to get to the beach or a 15 minute bike ride. Several pools and jacuzzi's to choose from and kids play areas. They are dog friendly so that takes care of that. Groceries/ fresh lobster right down the street. It's expensive but about half as much as a hotel.

The office staff refused to accept a delivery from Amazon. I an staying here for 6 weeks and they simply refuse to assist in helping me. In fact they told my i could figure out how to get a package delivered and could always go to the local post office for arrangements. I asked them if they could explain to me how to have a package delivered to general delivery which iswhen they told me i could figure it out on my own. I will never stay in this campground again.

We stayed the weekend of 5/9-5/11. We were expecting the premium site to at least have gravel under the picnic table, it was just dirt which was MUD due to the rain. The kids were excited for the "Mother's day Brunch and craft event scheduled for 5/10 INSIDE the Activity Building..well it was cancelled which was riduculous since it was originally scheduled inside and so we figured it would be a great rainyday activity. We were told the "food truck cancelled" we assumed it was more like since over 50% of the camper reservations cancelled due to the rain it was not worth it for the campground to host it for those who stuck it out, paid and came. All the campground amenities were still closed, it was advertised that wifi was included on our site, it was not even strong enough to connect our camper TV. UGH..not a good experience, I know it is early in the season, but if you charge full price, you should give full service!

I was trying to book a 1 week stay here and requested a specific site which was available. While getting ready to pay for it they tried to get an additional fifty dollars to guarantee my site selection. When I pay premium pricing, I expect my reservation to be honored as reserved. Thanks, but no thanks. I will be staying somewhere that guarantees my requested site.
