Great place to bring my telescope! Saw planets, galaxies, and nebulae just steps outside the motel door with a 8”. The darkest skies within 1.5 hours of Denver! The owner was super friendly and turned the lights off for us!

I ended up in Prairie Motel after a long and windy day during my bike trip across the United States - and can just recommend staying here! My room was clean, had a very comfortable bed, a fridge, a TV and even a microwave. But the best thing about this place are the owners who welcomed me so well that I can't thank them enough. Thanks for the memorable experience!

I spent last weekend there to attempt some astrophotography. The owners were very gracious in accommodating my needs to achieve a dark environment for me to perform deep sky photography. They turned off all their outside lights just for me! What a great group of folks out there on the Colorado prairie.

"Middle of nowhere". The RV site is huge. We stay one (1) night and pitched a tent. Beware with the picnic tables, was sitting one minute enjoying dinner on the ground the next. Maintenance definitely needed. Bathroom we used was clean. If I'm in the "middle of no where" again would return.

My husband and I are just starting our RV life adventure and this place has made it so enjoyable and peaceful. The community is very small and is a gem if you are looking to escape the metro life and return to the simple joys of living. The commute in to Denver is a gorgeous drive so that is an added bonus! Our cell carrier gets no service out here but the owners are gracious and let us use their wi-fi to communicate with family and friends until we get a new carrier. There are a few motel rooms and a cute little store around the corner. The hookups are fantastic and the grounds well maintained. Some people complain about the flies but that is a small price to pay to be so close to nature and can easily be controlled. This place is a diamond in the middle of the most beautiful plains we have ever seen!!!
