Love this place from the moment we arrived here. Sherry and Vaughn are so accommodating❤️ We booked in here last July for a week and ended up loving it so much we are now seasonal. We spend our entire summer here and couldn’t be more at home. We have been welcomed in with open arms by all our neighbours and sincerely have no intentions in going elsewhere. They have spent so much beautifying this place and the grounds are very well maintained. And the bonus is sherry and vaughn are more than willing to teach us retirees how to play pickleball. Great place to stop for a few days or a few months, you will not be sorry. We absolutely love it here and there is so much to do in this area I’m sure you will not run out of things to do and see. It’s breathtaking.
Wow. I have been looking for a new seasonal spot since we move last year. I happened to come across Prairie Peaks and as I did my research I thought I would reach out to the park to get some additional information and I was very surprised to have had a reply back within a day. Sherry from Prairie Peaks was polite and eager getting me the information I needed. I can tell you that there is very little parks in business today that treat new comers with excitement and respect as Prairie Peaks did. For this reason I am excited to pick a spot for a new seasonal camping site with a view. If you’re looking for a campground with respect for their customers then I wouldn’t waste any time. Give the website a look and read the reviews even take a drive. I bet you as well will be pleased.
Prairie Peaks Campground Hill Spring Alberta Canada ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As young retirees who split our time with our grown kids between the serene Canadian summers and the sunny Scottsdale winters, we’ve had our share of RV Parks, but Prairie Peaks Campground truly stands out. On our recent journey from Glacier National Park heading towards Waterton, we happened upon this charming spot, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly host who made us feel right at home. The campground is nestled in such a picturesque setting—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a bit longer. One of the best features is its proximity to the Waterton Reservoir, which is just a short par four away if you play the white tees like I do these days . We’re looking forward to coming back next summer with a boat in tow to enjoy some leisurely days on the water. The grounds are maturing beautifully, reflecting the care and dedication of the owners. The hook-ups are well-constructed and worked perfectly, providing a hassle-free experience. What really stood out to us, though, was the sense of community. Fellow campers were incredibly friendly, making our stay all the more enjoyable. One guy from Phoenix that does the Canada summers / AZ summers let us float on the lake in a little blow up raft. That was fun. An awesome bonus was discovering a fantastic ice cream creamery just about 5 miles away in Glen Wood. It’s the perfect treat after a day of explorin, fishing, floating on the canal or relaxing at the campground. We also happened to be in town during the Heritage Days in Cardston, Alberta, which was a wonderful surprise. We witnessed mud bogging for the first time—what a spectacle! The local festivities added a unique touch to our visit. #PrairiePeaksCampground #WatertonCanada #RVLiving
Beautiful campground with full service, water, sewer, power, at a reasonable cost. Seasonal prices also available. The owners are so helpful, accommodating & friendly & go above & beyond as owners to make sure our stay (for the July long weekend) was perfect. My husband loves fly fishing & also runs RC cars as a hobby, & there was so many spaces & local gems to explore in this area. I does get a bit windy at times, being right by the foothills & Rocky Mountain but there are plenty of day trips we took in the nearby valleys, rivers, and towns that we enjoyed. The campground has been open for 3 years so there isn’t a whole lot of trees around, but don’t let that stop you from checking this wonderful campground out. My dad enjoyed watching baby robin’s from the nearby trees, hatch and learn how to fly, something you just can’t experience in the city. Amazing views & spectacular sunsets. I would recommend staying in the A loop, especially if you have a trailer with a rear window, you can just back your trailer in and enjoy the mountain views. My parents are retired & seasonal campers that will definitely return next year. Best seasonal prices in all of southern Alberta with tons of attractions nearby. My husband & I were tired of fighting for campsites in Kananaskis & Bow Valley, this is a hidden gem I almost don’t want to write a review on because I know it’s a special place, many people will be eager to get into in the upcoming years to come!
Prairie peaks campground was a really nice campground but Sherry was actually pretty ignorant. I was working night shift and they had would do their yard work and mowing when we were trying to sleep . I asked the maintenance guys if sherry mentioned anything about us on night shift and if they could stop mowing and driving the golf cart and tractor around my trailer when I’m trying to sleep because my little dog would start barking . The maintenance guy said “ I think it’s a problem with your dog “ I was getting very annoyed at this point and said I’m not arguing with you idiots . 10 minutes later he pulls back up behind my trailer AGAIN ! With his tractor and turn the water pump on his tractor to start watering the trees after I just asked them not to do that ! I came out of my trailer hollering at him to stop and he started spraying me with water hose and laughing at me . I chased him with a rock in my hand but didn’t throw it and sherry called the cops on me I was kicked out of the campground. Sherry also would charge me 10 dollars a day for running my air conditioner and the rent was $1185.00 a month with no laundry or shower house . She didn’t want our water hose hooked up to the trailer , she wanted us to fill our tanks and run on 12 volt power for the water pump that didn’t take long to burn the pump out . Very nice campground but the owners are the worst I ever had to deal with by far !!!
