Beautiful park, especially being lit up for Christmas, lots of hard work went into decorating this 11-mike cruise. We went during the night for the lights and back during the day for scenery.
With only 77 miles of Lake Erie shorelines in Pennsylvania. They have definitely made the most of it with Presque Isle. Kudos to who or whomever had the foresight, and fortitude to keep this little slice of paradise away from greedy developers. The park is gorgeous and with so many different beaches facing different directions it is quite possible to enjoy a Lake Erie sunrise, and sunset at the same beach. We visited on a Monday and was still quite busy at the more popular beaches. I imagine the weekends could draw crowds tenfold what we experienced. A must visit for any Great Lakes admirer or anyone that simply likes beaches
This place truly has it all. We spent the day here exploring and didn't get to everything. We were not able to see the lighthouse due to a wedding, but the rest of the area was breathtaking. From the beach, to the walking paths, to the picnic areas. We had such a wonderful time! The bathrooms are huge and very well kept. Lots of beach areas and a popular place with many visitors. We spent hours on the beach, walking, skating, laughing and enjoying our time here. Can't wait to come back. A real vaca vibe! Even looking into buying property in the area. Definitely left a lasting impression. 🥰
The beaches here are absolutely breathtaking. It does get extremely busy during the summer months, so go early.
Super nice state park!! Very well maintained and very clean. We stayed two days and I recommend no less than two days. Take the time to visit every beach and lighthouse.Highly recommended.
