Always a fun time at POA! We decided to stay during a Halloween weekend this year, and it was so much fun not only for the kids but for the adults, too. If you've never stayed during trick or treating, do so; you won't regret it! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the grounds are safe and adequately kept.
One of the best campgrounds we've visited. Staff was always friendly. Seasonal campers were awesome. Some campgrounds, the seasonal campers have an attitude and can be rude, but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We went during Halloween weekend and it was so much fun. Tons of activities and the treats for kids and adults were awesome!
We visited POA for the first time over Labor Day Weekend. This place has a lot for all ages. We stayed in the 600s and were right next to all the action. My wife and I, our 2 children ages 5 & 7, and Grandma all enjoyed our time. Tons of fun around every corner! We had such a great time that we already booked for next year's Memorial Day Weekend! See ya then!
Half the amenities available, yet they want full price? Not even a fall discount?? Nothing for kids to do except jump on the jumping pillow. What happened to all the great activities they used to have? And no game room?? No thanks. We won't be back.
Overall we had a good time. Campground was clean. Lots of activities. People were friendly. Things did definitely quiet down around 11 ish every night. Golf-carts are EVERYWHERE. I mean i do get it. This place is probably big enough it should have its own zip code. Speed limit of 5 mph is more like a “suggestion “ however. At minimum 50% of the users are double that speed. We were in the back 800’s sites where its quieter from what we found out from the neighbors. I couldn’t even imagine how bad they are in main areas. We smelled an awful lot of weed around the campground. The crown jewel was walking into the bathrooms right after someone hit it up prior. I would go back but probably not anytime overly soon.
