Very clean showers and bathrooms. Nice and quiet at this time of the year. Water and electrical for the RV. Free dumping if you are staying there. A very enjoyable 4 days. Temperatures in the low 30s. Last year we tent camped same time of year. This was much more comfortable. Beautiful place to be. Lots of trails.

Had called on a short notice I needed to stay until my well was gonna be completed. The lady that took my phone call was very very sweet I honestly forget her name. I paid for two weeks & she had told me if I needed to extend that I could. Everything went smoothly she was very sweet & left me a pamphlet outside the office upon arrival since I was arriving after hours. The park itself is super nice very clean very spacious. The only issue I had…. Was the gentleman who had called me when I apparently was supposed to check out two days prior to his phone call. That part that really really pissed me off was his lies. I had no problem paying for extension, but he had told me that I can’t stay any longer than to finish the rest of the week off because “someone was coming to reserve my specific spot”. Funny because there was numerous vacant spots beside me. I find it funny that a park would offer a taken spot to another customer rather than to give the customer currently occupying the space to extend if needed. Then when I said I needed two more weeks & that I should be gone by then. He told me I can stay until the 28th & that’s the max limit & I have to leave. So not only did his story change that someone was coming to stay at my exact spot but also why did I have to leave? Why was there a deadline? A lot of other campers stay for months on end & I was basically kicked out in other words. & I paid extra to stay in the back row for privacy!

NOT TENT FRIENDLY. We reserved a spot for memorial day weekend and were told that they had tent friendly sites. It shows on the campground map as well. However, upon arriving, there is no tent pad and the patch of land next to our spot was in no way prepped. We had to setup on top of leaves, twigs, and rocks on NOT flat land. There is asphalt to park on, a firepit that was very nice for cooking, and a picnic bench. As night came... there were more issues. Our assigned spot had a bright light overhead that made sleeping difficult, not to mention the park is very close to a busy road and noise went all night. In an RV, the light and noise would be blocked... not in a tent. The bathrooms were clean, but the women's bathroom needs fans or some air flow. The space is shared with the shower stalls and it was beyond muggy and almost unbearable. Finally, the pool was not open, which was not told to us upon booking or arrival. We paid almost $80/night. I would not recommend this campground unless you have an RV.

Location is convenient in DC area. Sites are tight. We have a 33ft 5th wheel and barely fit into site. Campground is newly paved but us dated otherwise.

05/2024 $50/day The RV Park had been closed for a year or so for remodeling, and the first two rows have reopened recently. The additional three rows will open within the next few weeks. The sites are paved, with water and electric. The park also provides Wi-Fi. There is a dump station at the entrance, but not for individual sites so far as I know. The bathhouse is clean and spacious, with HOT water (something you can't assume will be true in these places). The Laundry is not new, but will likely be remodeled in the future. There's a small playground and a pool (which was closed during my visit). Park is around 30 miles from the National Mall at the Capitol, and is very convenient for exploring the area. A note about the WiFi: don't expect it to be reliable or fast. I'm just barely able to browse the web, and the connection drops out every few minutes!
