Love this place. Had a nice put in for floating down the upper Colorado. We caught a fish within 3 mins of starting our rafting trip.

Basically a rafting launch. There are 3 launch ramps each with restroom (outhouse), covered picnic tables and bear proof garbage and dumpsters. Lots of parking for truck and trailer combinations. Camping area is very primitive and has no shade. However it's close to the river and launches. 2 of the 4 restrooms were completely out of toilet paper but we're reasonably clean. Camping is first come first serve and only $10. There are several group camps that are by reservation.

We launched off from here on a 2 day white water camping and rafting trip and it was probably the coolest thing I have done yet! The most beautiful landscapes and adventure you could ever ask for! I highly recommend you to add this place to your bucket list!

I was only there for the day, but it was nice. Busy! Lots of people. This guy told me it was the busiest he'd ever seen. Clean bathrooms, extra parking, everybody was just chilling. Family oriented atmosphere. I did one of the trails around there. Forgot the name sorry but it's on the complete other side of the entrance and boat ramp. Uneven terrain, you lose the trail in the tall grass, seems like a fly fishing hot spot, I like that kind of stuff tho. If you're trying to hike further into the canyon, I suggest you drive around to the hot springs because you kind of lose the trail on these huge rocks you have to climb over.

This is a great little campsite right on the Colorado river. It's a BLM campsite so it's quite a bit cheaper than normal national forest campsites in Colorado at only $10. There are multiple vaulted toilets, RV sites, tent sites, two group sites, potable water, and of course there is no cell service (if you drive about 4 miles east on the main road then you can get cell service). The sites were very clean with nice views. There are train tracks on the other side of the river and a few trains rumbled by in the night but it wasn't too bad. the views were beautiful. I'll be sure to make it back to this site someday.
