We were in town for an annual family New Year's gathering and are cat people. This hotel welcomes kitties, which is often not the case (somehow "pet friendly" frequently means only dog friendly but not explicitly explained - been burned before). The front desk was very prompt and gracious in communicating even before we arrived, and stayed in touch throughout our 4 day stay. We opted for a suite to give all of us more room and it was very nice, clean, and well appointed. Comfortable bed, too! Only problem was all three faucets need work. The breakfast is a little meager though adequate and the woman in charge of the room is delightful. We were in the second building and found there were no snack machines on either floor, but there are two in the side entrance of the first bldg. Maybe move one? We've stayed there before, and this was our best experience. The outside was recently repainted, and I heard more work will be on going. We look forward to returning in one year, or possibly sooner.
First room we were given smelled like someone had just smoked a fresh cigarette in it. They were able to quickly move us to a new room down the hall that smelled fine. Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable and felt like sleeping on springs. Seemed outdated or like low budget upgrades: headboards to beds were broken in a few places/coming off the wall, paint job had paint on the ceiling, shower/bath had a big crack where it had been patched poorly, you could tell where areas of the hotel had flooded and baseboards were rotting near the breakfast/pool area, breakfast was decent but not as great as other quality inn locations we’ve stayed at.
I checked in this afternoon for my stay and ended up having to wait for maintenance to come back to change the batteries in my door card reader. I could not get into the room for 20 minutes after check in. This annoyance wasn’t a big deal but the icing on the cake is the dog turd in my room. It kind of blends in with the carpet but it makes me question how much effort is put into cleaning at this location. Location is fine to get to but the 2 buildings are not connected and it’s kind of a weird set up.
My husband and I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff we friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable we've had in our recent travels. Even though the hotel is just off the highway, the traffic noise couldn't be heard at all in our room. Would definitely stay here again.
I often stay at this Quality Inn while working in the Crossville area. Rooms are clean and secure. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. My only complaint is accessing the entrance. It's close to the interstate ramp and with the highway construction, sometimes it hard getting in and out of the property. The property itself is a fine place to stay and I will stay there again next time I'm in Crossville.
