Quality Inn

We were here for a conference. I don’t know how the actual rooms looked. However, they were very accommodating. We rented a small conference room and had to be moved to a larger one. They processed the Change in minutes. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Zero odors. There was minimal noise from the hallways. The only issues were the bathrooms. They all seemed broken and flooding. There was water on the floors and out of order signs on the doors. I’m sure it’s fixed now. It was the only issue the day we were there.

My son, great-granddaughter and I stayed the weekend of January 3rd for 3 days. We got in very late due to weather. We immediately started getting shocked by nearly everything in the room and sometimes it actually hurt. A lot of the outlets didn't work and it was impossible to control the temperature. It was either unbearably hot or very cold. Trying to sleep was difficult. I went to get breakfast and was told I could not take it back to my family who were still resting. I couldn't even take my own food back. I was told that management wouldn't allow it. I won't be staying here anymore.

The recent spat of poor reviews had my wife and I concerned but I can say these fears were unfounded. The room, while a bit dated, was entirely serviceable. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The water pressure was great and the tv had plenty of channels. We didn’t spot a single bug or inexplicable stain. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again next time we’re in the area.

We came from Maryland for a wedding and decided to stay at the Quality Inn. The reviews had me worried because they all seemed to be bad. But we had a perfect stay!! The rooms were clean, shower was great, and the breakfast was good. Sausage links, eggs, waffle maker, cereal, bread, yogurt, bagels. The only thing that upset me was that the juice machine was down. Other than that it was great. Sadly the pool was closed for the season, which is a bummer. Gym was okay, but the machine was either broken or not put together fully. But other than that, a great stay. Would definitely stay again!!

I was scheduled to travel to this area for work, but hurricane Helene unfortunately changed those plans. The week after the hurricane came through I tried multiple times to contact the hotel to cancel my reservation with no luck. The phone lines were down and I understand that. I then called 800 phone number on the reservation email and explained the cancellation to the people that answered there. They accepted the cancellation and issued me a case number to confirm the cancellation. A few weeks later I receive charges on my credit card for a no show for the reservation. I called the hotel to question the charges and was very rudely informed that they are a private property under the Quality Inn banner and do not accept cancellations from the 800 number on the confirmation email. That I must contact them directly. I explained that I had tried several times with no luck due to the phone line (as well as other) problems in that area. I called the 800 number again and was passed around up the phone tree. I finally reached someone who took my information and stated they will be issuing me a refund in 7 to 10 days. It just amazes me the level of rudeness I encountered from the hotel staff and their statement that they have nothing to do with Quality Inn other than being branded by them and their refusal to issue a refund for charges that should not have been made to me. The only good news is Choice Hotels (the company that owns the Quality Inn brand) will be issuing me a refund for all charges. My company sends people to this area several times a year and we will no longer be staying at this location. In fact, I am reconsidering if we will ever use the Choice Hotels locations in the future.
