Customer Reviews
Quality inn in Petersburg is a decent motel. They have reasonable prices and good management. Their rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. They're located in a good location. They have a pool and many other amenities. They have free breakfast. I highly recommend this quality inn.
I consider myself an extremely patient individual, so when I checked in and waited some time for the room to finish being cleaned which wasn’t an issue for me I expected it to be clean. However when the time came to settle in to room 239 we were met with everything except “clean”. From the dirty stained floors to a matching pair of dirty stained beds and even a few little cockroach friends, unfortunately I checked out after I took a shower. Although people say you get what you pay for I highly recommend the next person and many more after to spend a couple extra dollars to stay somewhere that shows a little more care in its establishment.
For the price it's ok. Rooms are a bit dated and could be a little cleaner. My only complaints until today. I've stayed here 4 or 5 times. Staff has always been nice and friendly prior to my experience today. They told me to come back after 3pm after i had called to make sure they had a room.. it was 1pm when i attempted to check in. The lady got out of her chair and walked over and pointed at the checkin at 3 sign which was a little rude. Shame they would rather lose a repeat customer than to give me a room a little earlier.
Upon arrival, the main lobby appeared closed, the doors were locked, and the lights were out. There was a little window to speak with the front desk person. And the first room we checked into was filthy. The bedding was dirty, and the room had a terrible odor. There were holes in the walls, a crack in the bathroom mirror, and the light didn’t work. Additionally, there was hair on the bed, and everything in the room was outdated. There was a dead roach on the wall. The coffee maker was unplugged and simply placed in front of the microwave, with old, moldy water left inside. There were stains all over the carpet, and the ironing board was rusted. The shower walls had cracks, and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The showerhead was rusty and had some sort of buildup, and rust was present in the vent as well. There was even a dirty towel left on the half-cleaned bathtub. Moreover, the door guard on the room door was missing, the paint was peeling from the door, and the remote control’s battery was missing. When I informed the front desk, they moved us into another room that was even worse. It smelled even more than the first room and had mold on the walls. Additionally, we will never return to this place. They offered a self-serve limited breakfast, but four light fixtures needed to be replaced, and the milk was spoiled. This was the worst experience we have ever had. Please do not stay at this Quality Inn.
Sadly, this is one of our worst hotel stays with this brand! The problems ranged from things not working (room phone, clock), safety hazard (missing plug covers, power strip being used), poor apperance (peeling paint, black(ish) pop-corn ceiling, tub area rust and years or repair attemps, towel shelf almost falling off wall). The AC unit worked but pumping out high humidty and VERY dusty.
