Quality Inn & Suites Gulf Breeze Bayside near Pensacola Beach

We never leave dissatisfied with our stay here, clean, spacious, private beach within walking distance, and the sunset is right at our fingertips, pool access, close driving distance to Waffle house, Walmart, etc. 10/10 recommend staying here as it is attached to Lillo's, our favorite restaurant. Anything else at most is 20 minutes driving time.

10/12/24: The rooms aren’t new but they do just fine if you just need a place to rest/sleep. The pool is nice and the beach area as well but the seating could be updated and available towels by pool would be awesome. We did have an issue with quality of bed but front desk switched us into another room. The only downside was we forgot a couple items and called several times, spoke with several different representatives in order to have them sent to us, but sadly never received any real assistance or call back. I would like an opportunity to speak with someone in management. Update 10/14/24 : 3 calls into management and 0 return calls. 😞 Update 10/14/24 p.m: Finally spoke with management (who was very nice) and of course no one found anything. Sad but unfortunate how so many housekeeping personnel “don’t find” forgotten items. These were not expensive just sentimental. I wish them the same type of housekeeping in any hotel they happen to visit!!

I hate that I even have to give any stars to even post a review. The only reason the location gets five stars is because it benefitted me being close to fort Pickens. Don't waste your money staying here. The rooms are nothing like the picture. There was no hot water for a shower. Your private beach is covered with glass.

Absolutely disgusting. My s.o and I went down for our birthday and wanted to have a wonderful trip together but were unfortunately stuck having to deal with a terrible excuse of a “hotel.” On our second night there was a cockroach in our bathroom and when we asked for a new room the front desk lady barely even cared and you could tell this has happened before. She switched us rooms and the next morning there was another cockroach by our balcony door, which is a poor excuse of a “balcony” in my opinion. Paid an extra $250 for a 2x6 concrete slab with two gross chairs. When we told the lady about the second cockroach, we asked to cancel and be refunded because we should not be paying that much money to sleep with roaches. She tried calling her manager but she was unresponsive and still hasn’t reached back out to us. On our last night there, there was a lizard on the wall next to our headboard and when moving the nightstand there was a dead cockroach under it. At that point we did nothing because we knew they weren’t going to do anything either. This place needs to be shut down. We left right away in the morning and when checking out with front desk they made it very clear that fixing this is the least of their priority. My advice, pay the extra money for a better and cleaner hotel and one that will treat you with respect. I’ve worked in a hotel for the last five years and I could never imagine treating my guests the way they had.

This place is perfect if you have young children and/or toddlers. There's a small 'beach' out back that's a 20 yd walk from the nearest room and the sun sets over the bay which is perfect for sunsets. The building itself is old, however the rooms aren't terrible and it's fairly priced. Also, it's not too far from the beach. Maybe a 10 min car ride at max w traffic. Recommended, esp if you're on a budget and want to get away.
