Very basic campground. I past by here yesterday on my way into the Machesna Wilderness to hike. I didn't see anyone there on a Sunday morning, so it's not exactly a popular site, which is a good thing. I didn't see any flowing water. Just two stars because I'm much more inclined to go backpacking than car camp, so I wouldn't use it. But, the road up to that point is in great shape and 4×4 isn't needed unless you continue up the road to Pine Mountain. Small trailers would fit.
Very primitive camp site. There's good ground for tent set up no fire pits . There is spring about three hundred yards away with water still flowing.a lot of off road traffic thru the camp site.
Arrived at the sight 9/4/16 there is a fire ring hear but nothing else. This may have been a campground at some time in the past but it now seems to be a single camping sight perhaps for locals. No signs posted other than a road nothing indicating that you can camp there. No bathrooms of any kind.
It's a bit hard to find but once you find it its very quiet.
Beautiful area. No amenities.
