Big campground, 43 campsites (3 accessible sites) with picnic tables and fire pits, and spaced far apart. $20 per night. We were there in early August on a weekday - no bugs, and it was not crowded, but were told it’s best to book in advance. We parked our 19’ trailer and car on the pull-through parking pad, and our friends put their small trailer and truck on the grassy area of the site. The host came by and told us not to park on the grass because of an incident that occurred at a nearby campground. Apparently the car had dripped oil and started a fire? They moved it a few feet over onto the dirt. Bathrooms closed because of Covid, but super clean porta potties close to each site. There were water spigots at every-other site along with grey water dump holes with grates over the top. Blackberry bushes lined the camp roads and surrounding sites - ripe for eating - some of the best I’ve had! They were really overgrown, so to get at the berries deeper in we used a pruning shears to cut back the overgrowth. Right on Rogue River with easy access from our riverfront campsite, good for swimming with strong-ish current. Did lots of paddle boarding in the morning when the river was calm.

Camp host Pete who admitted he would be homeless if he didn't have his position told us we were banned because we left his porta potty dirty. This happened at 5:30 am. I went in to assess the situation after he examined it. I didn't even know what to do. And so we left. I'm guessing you didn't enjoy our homemade split pea soup. Btw my husband was on crutches with a sprained ankle when Pete demanded we clean the bathroom. AT 5:30 AM! Quiet time is over at 6 am, Mr camp host.

Very nice campground, nice location and nice access to the rogue river. Definitely has a lot of potential but I was very disappointed in an unruly camper and no apparent supervision by the host. A quick trip around the loops at 9:30 to 10 might have encouraged loud campers to quiet down. I would caution campers to bring earplugs on the weekends especially. The portable toilets are a post COVID cop-out.. I don't blame the camp host for USFS policies. Some campsots are very exposed to other campsite and some are more private. I would love to leave a higher rating but my experience was very unpleasant-

We come here every year and it's by far the best campground along the Rogue River. Have only had one rude camp host in almost 2 decades. Easy river access for both bank fishing and a boat launch. Has a fish cleaning station, but only on one side of the campground. Water for cleaning, etc within short walking distance of every camp site. It has been without working restrooms for 4 yrs, with porta potties in their place, which is pretty ridiculous to not fix in that span of time when you charge $20/night for each site. You can purchase firewood from the camp host, but the bins are getting smaller and smaller for the price you pay. Might be cheaper to buy in town... Overall, this campground is like home. Beautiful open field to play in during the day and star gaze in at night. Wouldn't spend my time camping in any other campground.

The campground is pleasant, quiet, but in bad need of repairs. There is currently no budget, and the water is in poor condition. The host, Pete, is kind, knowledgeable, and can direct you to where to find excellent agates.
