This is the wintering spot. You at least get some direct sunlight up here. Sometimes can be windy too. The RR track is great for kids to learn and build confidence.
Beautiful area, great trails.
Overall a great place to ride. Problem is, you get all these guys thinking that they're going to impress other Riders and campers buy racing up and down the roads that have signs stating 15 and 25 miles an hour. They make it dangerous for the little kids. The Park Rangers are too busy to catch them all. There needs to be "self policing" by the responsible riders/campers. I'm old so it doesn't bother me to flag them down to bring the signs and their reckless behavior to their attention. Lots of riding trails both advanced and easy. Maps available and trails are clearly marked. Don't know where you can go for 5 dollars to have this much fun. They are also doing a lot of renovations to improve the comfort of the park.
I LOVE HOLLISTER HILLS. I'm so lucky to have this Beautiful State Park in my backyard. I find enjoyment and peace when I camp here, especially this time of year. Everything green and growing.
Had a fun time, got to watch my buddy ride up the trail and out of sight. There is some cell service here, and a clean bathroom, and I had a picnic lunch and fun watching all the kids on their dirt bikes, so it was a good day!
