Railroad Flat Campground Introduce

Welcome to Railroad Flat Campground, a secluded and scenic camping destination located at the end of Briceburg Road in Midpines, California. As part of the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Railroad Flat Campground offers a unique experience for those seeking a quiet and natural retreat. Situated at Briceburg Rd, Midpines, CA 95345, this campground provides access to beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes.

Customer reviews highlight the campground's stunning natural features, including waterfalls and swimming holes accessible via a short walk. The water is noted to be cold but bearable, making it a refreshing experience, especially during the spring when wildflowers are in bloom. However, it's important to note that the waterfalls and swimming holes may dry up later in the summer. The area also has historical significance, with evidence of Native American acorn grinding sites.

Railroad Flat Campground offers 10 first-come-first-serve campsites. Campers are required to fill out a yellow envelope, available in a brown box, and pay a $10 fee to secure their spot. The campground provides only one restroom, which some reviewers have noted needs improvement in cleanliness. There are no showers available, so campers should plan accordingly.

A significant factor to consider is the complete lack of cell service at the campground. Visitors are advised to make any necessary calls before arriving, as it is a long drive back to areas with service. Despite the limited facilities, the campground is praised for its quiet and scenic atmosphere, offering a beautiful and tranquil camping experience.

If you're looking for a secluded camping experience with access to waterfalls and swimming holes, Railroad Flat Campground in Midpines, CA, is an excellent choice. Be prepared for limited facilities and no cell service, and plan your trip accordingly.

Quiet, scenic campsite. Only thing the site needs is a clean restroom.

Nice campground, You can always hear the sound of the river, And look down the river, The toilet is a little behind the road. There are tent only campgrounds and few drive in campgrounds.

It was so clean and very well maintained. Which made good neighbors, who were pretty friendly and considerate. There was a couple of cars that drove beyond speed limit causing too much dust. I liked the frequency of service personal keeping the place clean and safe.

8 or 10 bucks a night with good amount of space between campsites, some spots you have to walk to but not far others you can park your car right at the site all of them are close to the river with a mixture of river rock and Sandy Beach. Fishing is minimal mostly small black bass with the possibility of a rainbow trout. The ranger is friendly and they have fire pits with grills however high fire alert seasons coming up so they will put cellophane around the fire pits at that point.
