Great little campground, off the beaten path, on the river! Nice staff, clean facilities, play ground, boat launch, small beach area. Wonderful place to get away and relax!
Booked a site prior to getting there. Apon arrival they booked a 50amp spot. It was a bait and switch. You could upgrade to a 30 Amp spot on the river or buy a $40 adapter. To me, this was their responsibility to either put you in a 30amp or 50amp. They didn't ask when my husband what Amp camper we had, so they just gave us a 50amp and then tried to up sell us. To me that's shady business practice. So they sold us a $10 adapter for $40 . Every campground I have ever stayed at that didn't have a 30 available, they provided the adapter, they also asked when I booked if they didn't have combo sites. Just be prepared if you book a stay here. The rest was campsite was ok and good for the fee charged. I just didn't like the bait and switch there to get more money out of us or the up sell tactic.
LOVE the staff!!! The location is great with some pretty awesome views of the river. We did not have any issues with smells, bugs or rude staff that was mentioned in some other reviews. The staff was super helpful with everything. We were able to enjoy the band playing one evening. I am looking forward to returning in the Summer.
Awesome little campground for people looking to get away from crowds. Has a beach, fishing piers and boat ramp on the Mataponi River. The owners and staff are Ahmazing!
A family owned business with an exceptional camping atmosphere. The well kept, clean and safe experience with amenities to make your home away from home worth coming back for. The neighbor-like atmosphere and seeing families on golf carts is one of my favorite relaxing pastimes. Many thanks to Rosemary, Becky, Gus, Keith, Karen, CJ and Mandy and the rest of the Rainbow Acres Campground Resort crew for all they do.
