A wonderful easy hike from the boat dock to a stunning natural bridge. Currently it was 2.8-miles from the boat dock to the back side of the natural bridge and back to the dock.
Super majestic, and pretty. If trump was here, he would say “Huuuuuuuuge”. Nice 1-mile hike up there. It’s not steep, not tough, I’ve seen 2-3 year -olds walking up fine. It’s a bit toasty - but otherwise - super fun. There is a dinosaur footprint that was discovered. It’s hard to spot, but when you see it - you won’t be able to un-see it. Recommend to do this little adventure in the early morning, before it super hot. Also- if you have your own boat, you can just pull up.. or you gotta do the tour with big group.
Great day trip if you are chilling at Lake Powell. The hike is currently about a mile and is basically flat. Very awe inspiring. Dock has toilets and trash cans. Can get busy.
What a fantastic piece of nature. I wanted to go here for a while but unfortunately the water levels in Lake Powell were too low for the tours to run and we didn't feel confident enough in our boating skills to go it alone. You can also reach it via a multi day hike but not feasible for most. But last year's heavy snow meant the water levels were favorable for boat tours to resume. It's still a little bit of a hike but doable for most (I'd rank it as moderate) The trail that goes behind the arch was closed and you can't go under it. But it is AMAZING. There was even a register to sign and our kids were super excited to sign it.
The boat ride itself was magnificent. Beautiful rock formations, knowledgeable guides, and delicious lunch. We got to Rainbow Bridge after 3 fun hours on the boat. The hike was easy, and the arch shouldn't be missed. This tour is highly recommended.
