We booked the largest site and it was AMAZING! First and foremost, the camp hosts were quick to greet us and explain everything to us, they were easily accessible throughout the weekend. The site itself had 6 tent pads that were spaced apart perfectly, so we weren't right on top of each other. The kitchen area was wonderful, very clean and roomy for our group of 10. Our site had a small playground that kept my toddler occupied during downtime. The amenities were great as well! The bathrooms were well stocked and very clean. They have a small self serve store with toothbrushes, deodorant, snack bars, coffee, and other miscellaneous items. They offer bike and sand board rentals, my older kids were OBSESSED with the bikes. You can check out using your phone for the QR codes, it was easy and affordable. The boards were $25/day, bikes $10/2 hours each. Overall, this was a beautiful place with plenty of activities and great views.

Aside from the rain which absolutely flooded the place, this was a great campground which exceeded our expectations. This place really had it all. Showers were awesome, got warm quick, and easy to access. They also had outdoor sinks for washing up, getting ready, and even a separate spot for doing dishes. VERY nice!! Sites were large, nicely spaced out, and relatively flat parking. The tent pads are elevated so even with all of the flooding most of the tent spots were above water. The covered table at our spot with grill, outlet, sink, running water, and counter was amazing. Again, if it hadn't rained the whole time then we would have had a bast out here. We even had corn hole, a solo stove fire pit, chairs, and wood for purchase right at the site. I have not real reason to visit this area again other than to check out the sand dunes again but I would 100% come just for this place. I can't stress enough that the weather was a disaster and we still loved this campground. With good weather this is absolutely the place to be.

My Experience at Rumble (Sept. 2024) I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rumble Campground in Great Sand Dunes National Park. The location was absolutely breathtaking, with the towering sand dunes right at our doorstep. The campground itself was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities like shade structures, fire pits, and a decent kitchen area. One of the things I really appreciated was the proximity to the sand dunes. It was so easy to just pack up a few things and head out for a day of exploring. The showers were also surprisingly nice, considering we were camping. They were always clean and hot, which is a must-have in my book. The only downside I experienced was some noise disturbance from other campers at night. While it wasn't a major issue, it would have been nice to have a little more peace and quiet.

What an incredible experience! We only stayed one night and wished we had more time at Ramble. This place is fantastic with so much attention to detail. I was truly enamored at the cleanliness of the bathroom/shower facilities. The campsite was great with easy to use amenities; also appreciated the QR codes everywhere for instructions as needed. Our camp host Geoff was very welcoming and offered assistance if we needed it. If we are ever back that way, we'll most definitely pay Ramble another visit!

This was a really nice campsite. It didn't work to well for us with a roof top tent πŸ˜• we had to walk a way to and from the actual camp pad with the fire pit, but that's not their fault I should have researched better. The bathrooms were really clean and real toilets which was a nice surprise, I loved the dishes cleaning area and the area to get supplies. And the best part was the STARS!!!! Completely open skies. Thanks Ramble for a good time. Is there a site that is better for rooftop tents? If so we will be back

After years of dispersed camping, our group was pleasantly surprised by this exceptional campground. While the nearby dunes were certainly enjoyable, it was the campground itself that became the unexpected highlight of our trip. The camp host deserves special recognition for their outstanding hospitality, consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The thoughtful layout offers generous spacing between sites, providing that sense of privacy we've come to appreciate from our dispersed camping adventures. The walk-in sites were particularly impressive, equipped with convenient buggies for transporting gear – a small touch that made a significant difference. Facilities were remarkably well-maintained, with strategically placed porta potties (featuring flushing toilets and running water!) reducing the need for long walks to the main restrooms. The shower facilities exceeded expectations with reliable warm water and complimentary toiletries. What truly sets this campground apart is their attention to detail and commitment to camper comfort. While we came for the dunes, we'll remember the exceptional camping experience. Our group is already planning our next trip to visit their Mesa Verde location – perhaps the highest praise we could offer as dedicated dispersed campers. Would we stay again? Absolutely. This campground has managed to capture the essence of why we camp while adding conveniences that enhance rather than detract from the experience.
