Great place to spend your day off... so much to do, of course! You get a whole forest to go play in! Go hike around with the doggos... ride your bike, atv or dirt bike... have a picnic... climb a tree 😁amazing views!!! Big plus that the temperature up there is so much cooler than when you are in the city or town... I enjoyed every minute! Colorado is a great state! They also have plenty of restrooms around, besides peeing on a tree 😆

Stayed here one night out of 4, so far, woke up to grab breakfast at the sight of a bear in my face, in my tent, recommend people stay in a camper while out here, we won't be returning here or go camping ever again. As for the bears, I declare this open season

The ranger on duty bribed us for having more than 5 cars. We had to give him cash to leave us alone. We even had specified the amount of cars on the reservation and he didn’t care and was harassing us. The website and reservation never said anything about a limit on cars.

Christian and others who find it too noisy here due to the dirt bikes - Rampart is a designated OHV area and has been for decades. Recommend people research areas prior to camping to ensure they are not open to OHV's if you want peace and quiet. It's a great place to ride and camp if you are into OHV's - recommend going during the week though. Weekends are crowded.

Amazing National Forest with designated dispersed camping area. Vault toilets are clean, the views are amazing, abundant wildlife, devils head fire look out hike, picnic areas, hundreds of miles for dirt bikes and quads and a short distance to major stores and shopping in Castle Rock.
