If you want an almost too amazing camping experience, try the sites up here on Rampart Range rd... the drive up here is fun and beautiful... Once you hit Douglas County, the roads are maintained, so it gets smoother... thank you, Douglas County road crew!!!! Much appreciated!!! If you like to ride, there are so many trails to go back on and explore... so much quartz it looked like snow all over the ground... but site 86, wow... there is a little pond and then so much space!!! All the sites have fire pit grills. Some had picnic tables
I think this is also a paid site now. From 1 to 99 is now paid...after that near parachute rock is the free section. Great area to unwind at
Never camp there drove by it. There is a mine there that has a lot of quarts
Check road conditions. Our site was never impossible to get our camper in. Previous res ppl left poop in bags all over the back side of the pond.
Can't wait to go back again!!!
