Somehow Katie and Brian found a piece of land that’s near the places travelers need while still supplying the privacy and quiet that so many of us are searching for. They’ve arranged the campsites on the property so that you feel like you’re the only ones there. While the driveway is natural, it was very well maintained, even better than the dirt roads we bounced around on in Big Bend. And when I say the nights are quiet, I mean dead silent. Unlike most camp showers where you feel like you’re bathing in a closet, this one was massive and would be great for families who might need to rinse the day’s dust off multiple kids. Would definitely book there again and hope I get the chance.

This place is so serene and you really feel able to disconnect from the world while still being minutes from Terlingua and Big Bend. Brian and Katie are great hosts. Spend a night or two (or five) here and feel what West Texas and the high desert have to offer.

My fiancé and I had a great time at Árboles Muertos. The house was very nice, fully equipped with all amenities, and the owners, Brian and Katie, were very helpful. As first timers to the Big Bend area, we were nervous about how to maneuver the limited service, water, electricity, and plumbing but this place made it easy for us to fall in love with glamping and the desert. Will def book again and visit Big Bend in the future.

We had the best time staying at the knotty soul campsite at Rancho de los Arboles Muertos. The campsite was beautiful and very tidy and clean. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen tent was absolutely perfect for cooking our favorite camping meals. We had everything we needed and more. The outdoor shower was spacious and perfect for an after hike rinse. We felt refreshed and ready to enjoy our evening under the stars. We had privacy and spectacular views. Brian and Katie were the best hosts, making sure we had plenty of water, propane and even doing our camp dishes while we were out enjoying the park. I highly recommend this site. It is a perfect place for anything from a weekend trip to a big group gathering. We look forward to making our way out here again soon.

My group rented the 3 casitas on the property and they were exactly as described. The setting and the landscape of the property was otherworldly, combined with the comfortable accommodations the experience here was truly special. Our host communicated early to anticipate my group's arrival and caution about impending weather and what to do. Check-in and check-out instructions were detailed and clear and our host was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Cute, quiet, and clean place to stay outside Big Bend. The climate controlled camper kept us warm and comfortable during an unexpected cold front. Would definitely stay here again!
