I was staying with my brother in Lewiston and this park was nearby. That a gem! The lake was clean and beautiful and warm enough for swimming. There is a lovely hiking trail and pine forrests around the lake. The facilities were good enough, including a bathhouse, playgrounds, and plenty of picnic tables. I've got a little one in a wheelchair and there was a little ramp to the water and a chair to use. What an unexpected lovely day!

One of my favorite places to swim. Clear water and several beaches. Kayak and canoe rentals. Picnic tables and grills.

Always a good time. They close earlier this year than in years past. The both rooms close at 6:30pm and the beach closes at 7:45pm. I like to come on weekdays in the afternoon-evening when is not as busy. This is a very pleasant state park. They have nature trails, watercraft to rent and much more. To see the rest check out their website.

Generally well marked trails- I think some paint or signs could be added to help, as it seems nearby homes have added offshoot trails. Otherwise, it is an easy/beginner friendly trail, that is clean/well groomed and relatively rootless/flat - not much incline. Dog friendly, mountain bike friendly. Sometimes it can be busy depending on the time of year and day. Other times people just meet and sit in the parking lot.
