My husband and I stopped in here over the weekend and it was like taking a step back in time! They had had the perfect selection for a good day of fishing from minnows to Dr Pepper. If your thinking of visiting Longmire Lake and can't find bait, they have you covered! $6 for a dozen of minnows, can't beat it. You have to have cash though, she doesn't take debit/credit cards.
We camped here one night on our way home from Texas during the covid-19 pandemic. Very glad to find a place open. Our site was basically a pasture with full hookups. Very close to a large lake, so we walked down to check it out. This campground would be great if you were a fisherman with a boat with the proximity to the lake. Owner seemed very helpful and friendly and so was the camper next to us.
Cindy Lee is a wonderful person, a great cook, and the campsite is great for RV's and tent campers. There's water, electric and sewer connections. She has a bait shop right on the premises that everyone uses for fishing at Longmire Lake.
Wife caught this 16 crappie. Beautiful day and great customer service at the bait shop. Cindy really makes you feel welcome!
