Private, beautiful! No traffic noise, peaceful trains! Lots of rumbling from trains on both sides when camping. Super unique experience. Not for light sleepers. Site Sizes Range! RV 35" or 30" trailer or I would say 35" 5th wheel would be max. We are 33" and couldn't fit as their are only a couple large sites. Super nice of the community to do this, be sure to leave a donation! There is a pull off above off the road thats not part of the Campground but you can park there. Its a short walk to the outhouses, not by the river but it works.
The only campsite open in Spences Bridge. Right on the train track so you can train watch. River is on the other side.
Private, rugged, trains on both sides of river, but got used to it.
Wonderful area if you're a railfan with trains running 24/7 on both sides of the Thompson. If you're a light sleeper this probably isn't a great place for a nights rest as the southern (now level) train crossing requires the train to blow its horn upon approach. Its very loud and I was stirred awake several times despite having earplugs. Overnighters beware.
Absolutely beautiful.....if you like rivers and trains you will love it.
