Hotel is rough at best. We were told how the laundry facilities literally had the roof fall in so we couldn't use it. Next the steps were "repaired" but bounced like a spring board creating a safety issue. First room had not been cleaned from night before. Second room the duct tape came off the window holding the air conditioner there creating the room to be 100 degrees. (But a prison like shank was still on window sill) Third room was nearly as terrible bit I needed shelter due to weather. Rooms are gross, pubes on towels, coffee maker that was awful, aur conditioner sounds like a jet plane and barely works. Any positive review is 100% a bot. This is worst place I've ever stayed. Owners should be ashamed.
So yes. I did read every review I could find before booking here. The lobby folks were kind and helpful, and put me in an expanded room. The place itself is undergoing renovations, and they've done okay with a 50 year old building. For the rates, you're still in a safe location, warm room, clean sheets and hot water. I'd stay again in Montrose.
Three of us stayed in a suite at this hotel. It worked out well for us with a private bedroom as well as the king bed in the main area. There were doors on the room with toilet as well as the room with bath/shower along with 2 sinks. That was great because we could all get ready to go at the same time. One thing I would suggest is to get the electrical hooked up correctly. We could not turn the light on in the bedroom without the lights on in the bathroom area. Turning off that light meant that I couldn't charge phone, etc. overnight in the bedroom. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay and would stay again when in the area.
The nice lady at check-in was great. The room, not so much. Not very clean and generally in poor condition. My room had a portable air conditioner with the exhaust hose duct taped into the window. Pretty rough, but cheaper than other hotels in the area. The only reason that I am leaving this negative review is because this hotel is listed as 3 star by Google. It is definitely NOT a 3 star hotel. In my opinion, it is a 1 star hotel.
I'm giving this rating based on hotels on the strip in beautiful Montrose. I almost had to get such good reviews because it will probably raise the prices.. but anyway based on the prices I received, these rooms are in a knockout! I'm in 106 right now In a jacuzzi.
