We decided to camp here when the shuttle service and kayak, canoe rentals were shut down got the season. So I feel it was a less of an experience than I was expecting. Not a bad place, we'll be visiting again, but only when everything is in full operation. The photos I've added, were taken directly in front of my tent overlooking the river.

Did a day kayaking trip. Staff was very friendly but gave zero directions on which boats to use or where to stop. We ended up with two out of our three kayaks with major leaks which required lots of time to stop and dump our boats. Had to patch one up with gum just to make it to our stopping point. I asked for a refund but was only offered a free trip. Check your kayaks very carefully. They’re not in good shape and holes will make your trip less enjoyable. Restrooms were clean.

I had an excellent time there camping on the resort. Excellent staff. One of a kind place you'll never forget. If you never been there before I recommend there to camp there. Also to do the Red River kayak. It's worth every dime. The owner is a Good kind man. I highly recommend anybody to come here. Lots of history, especially in the surrounding area of Adams Tennessee in cedar Hill, Tennessee definitely worth coming there. You'll never forget it and you'll want to come back again. Thank you for everything all you did for me being there Jeff. I greatly appreciate everything you did and your staff is absolutely wonderful

I don't know how my entire life that I recently discovered this place. But it is now my retreat away from life The scenery is absolutely stunning and of course there's one good camping place that is always taken so if you read this make more camping areas by the slopes. The people that camp in the back of the property are usually the ones that are smoking funny things lol I would recommend camping up front for a more family friendly atmosphere. This place is legit

Fun times. I paid with cash & printed the liability forms ahead of time. Which I would recommend in case there is a line. I would also recommend calling ahead to reserve a canoe or kayak on the weekend. They provide life jackets & the paddles. No glass or styrofoam.

Now we've been when the camp, shuttle service and river was running wide open. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And I have to add that we weren't sure if we could stay because of the flooding in the previous weeks. But the crew GOT 'ER DONE!!! They had all the debris rake out of the way, roads regraded, and countless hours of laborious work to make that happen. We want to say Thank you for a job well done. Not just me, but I speak for our whole group that stayed over Easter Weekend 4/20/2025. We are already anticipating another trip to hang out in the water with y'all. Highly recommended in my opinion.

I honestly don't know how this place has a 4.4... this was the worst place I've been to when it comes to kayaking/canoeing. Unless people are only camping and leaving reviews or all the good reviews come from some some kind of festival they hold every year, I don't know who's giving it more than 3 stars. I've been kayaking to quite a few places, so maybe I have a higher standard. But my biggest problem was that we had to tote the kayaks that we paid $40 each for down to the river. It was very muddy and a steep slope. Then, we had to drag the kayaks up the very steep slope by ourselves in the rain. What are we paying for? Every other place I've had, totes the kayaks down to the water and helps you get in safely and then they all have had a couple staff members at the end helping people get out without tipping and then they carry the kayaks to their bus. I've never been made to carry my kayak up and down the steep slopes.most other places just have you keep up with your paddle and lifejacket which is reasonable.... But $40 to break my back carrying a kayak up a slippery slope in the rain trying not to fall was ridiculous. The other issue I have is that most of their kayaks are in HORRIBLE condition. The guy who drove us down even said that he recommended the metal ones because the other plastic ones weren't that great. And then it started storming and lighting while we were on the river, so that was concerning since we were given a metal kayak. Haha. Also, they took us on a tiny school bus and 1 guy had to sit on his cooler because there weren't enough seats for everyone. They don't offer snacks or chips. Which isn't a huge deal, but would have been nice. The 4-6 hour trip only took us about 2.5 hours and we stopped once to chill for a sec. One good thing is that the kayaks had backrests. But some of the foot rests were broken, so you just slide down and it's very uncomfortable. I will not be going back to this place. Foggy Bottom on the Harpeth has been my favorite so far. And there's more sand bars to hang out on, this is a whole lot of river and not many places to get out and hang out. Hopefully I'll find a place on the Red River thats better than this one, but this place is a hard pass for kayaking. Maybe the camping part could be fun though! I hate giving small family owned business a bad review, but this place really needs to do better. Giving 2 stars because staff was semi friendly.
