Great site. 2 miles from gate or 1.5 miles from lot. Good water, easy in and out. Excellent tent pads. We managed to hang 3 hammocks but it wasn’t perfect. SHT southern terminus is only about a half mile from the site. You can continue to hike at least another mile or so from the terminus into Wisconsin before hitting a rather boring section on a snowmobile trail. This is part of the North County Trail.

Pretty nice campsite with 4 tent pads. Hammock friendly. Water source is a tenth of a mile down the trail. The down side is the site is very near train tracks and trains go by several times in the night.

Newest campsite on the SHT and the most southern. Good options for both tents and hammocks, water source isn't right next to camp, but a bit down the trail by the bridge. Some neat old growth trees near that got left or missed by the old timers.

Very nicely kept. Had a hacksaw which helped. Great sites, access to river. Campfire had benches. Latrine was nicely kept and secluded.
