Customer Reviews
One of the best places I've camped at honestly. Bathrooms were clean and scented(never seen that before), water is available on site. The platforms are clear, spacious and have a fire pit and charcoal cooking station which was great. The fire pits need more depth however as at night the wind was quite strong and a more covered pit would be helpful. The parking situation for some of the bays is a bit silly and forces you to almost double park others in to be able to use your bay that you reserved. The cost is reasonable & it's close to everything you need. Take a windbreaker though and orient your tent to block the wind otherwise you might not have a good time. Well worth it if you're in the area though and don't want to pay an arm & a leg to stay inside of Vegas. Plus the access to the nearby climbing is unmatched.
My cousins and I went camping and it was an amazing experience especially for our kids. They loved it and it was their bonding moment. My son hiked up the hill and loved it. Watching the sun rising was cool as well.
Very nice and pleasant hosts (might be rangers) that were very diligent in making rounds and ensuring all was good in the campground. Nice campsites, some would require more leveling of your RV than others. Overall, we enjoyed the campground tremendously as it was quiet and close by to trails and the canyon drive.
Nice campground. Dry camping only. I did not see a dump station
It was windy 🌬 and cold. But great sunrise/sunset views. Camp host were amazing 👏 So close to scenic drive. Pit toilets. We had to walk toward road entrance for T-Mobile service.
This was the Arizona camping experience I was hoping for. Reservations are a NEED beforehand. The road to the campsite has speed bumps and you have yo check in and get a parking paper for your dash. The camp site number I don’t remember but it was a higher number and up towards the hills where it is less congested. Bathrooms were accessible and no need to walk too far from any location. The weather was really nice despite it being December. My campsite didn’t have a parking spot so I parked on the side next to my site, there is a fire pit, table and designated area for setting up tents. I loved this campsite because of it being immersed in Arizonas wildlife so much. The campsite didn’t have any Wi-Fi and you have to drive back into town. The campsite is very close to red rock NP as well as many other hikes and rock climbing areas.
So far so good! Super cute well kept campground. We are old so get 1/2 price with park pass, even better! Tucked in a little bowl, but still mountains all around. So close to Vegas baby! Camp host Barb was real nice. Camp has pit toilets, water to drink, but NOT fill your tanks . Site 47 is not level, tough to level our 33 ft camper. I still 💕 this place. FYI this is a busy place lots of people coming and going, so if your dog can't handle this and is constantly barking, LEAVE HIM HOME.
