This conservation area is absolutely stunning. It reminded me a lot of Zion National Park with the massive red rocks. Very beautiful. The scenic drive is a great touch. 15 minute one way route through the park. This will lead you to lookouts and tons of hiking for all types of hikers. We saw a lot of rock climbing going on, too, which was fun to watch. Entry 20 dollars to enter the park. 2 dollars extra if you pay at the entrance booth as opposed to purchasing a day pass online. Bathrooms Lots throughout the conservation area. No running water, so bring sanitizer. Very clean bathrooms, though, compared to other parks. We've been all over Nevada, and this spot really stood out!
I would have liked to visit the Grand Canyon, but since we were short on time, we chose Red Rock Canyon as an alternative. It was truly a beautiful place. Seeing the red rocks was even more impressive than in the photos. When we visited, the area was very quiet; there were very few people, and the roads were empty. Driving through the canyon was enjoyable, and we got to explore while taking in the views. We also had the chance to take some photos. I think visiting here at least once is a great experience. You won’t regret it!
Wonderful experience driving the loop and going on a 3 mile hike. The views are breath taking. The weather was great but you still need to be prepared if you're attempting one of the more strenuous hikes. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
Definitely a must see if visiting Vegas. It’s a short drive there from the strip. Small fee to enter but if you get a National parks pass, it’s good for all national parks for a year. Over 13 miles of beautiful sites. Hiking trails throughout. Restrooms at most parking lots. You can see a variety of plant species as we as animals. Plus it’s not too far from excellent food spots I’ve reviewed. Definitely fun for the fam!
This was probably the best part of my trip to Las Vegas. I love this park. We hiked a couple of trails and enjoyed the scenery as we drove through the park. My favorite hike was Calico Tanks. There's an amazing view when you make it to the end. Scrambling was fun.
