Such a wonderful hidden gem! We found this place last minute on our trip up to Michigan from Indiana and it did not disappoint. The camping site we chose was right along the water, it is a camp favorite, and the view was immaculate especially for a morning sunrise. Even if you chose one of the wooded sites, there’s a small beach for all to access. Where there’s water, there’s mosquitoes, bring the repellent and netting. Great price, pit toilets on the grounds, potable water accessibility and pet friendly. Thank you Barbara for the hospitality, cannot wait to return!
Just stayed here during a few weekdays in August and what a beautiful campsite! We were one of about 4 groups of people camping and it made for a very peaceful experience. The owner was kind enough to give us a huge site right on the water. The site is about a 20 minute drive to St. Ignace, so perfect for our Mackinac Island trip without being too expensive. Although there are only pit toilets, they are probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen! As everyone else has said, definitely a hidden jem and hope to return in the future!
This is a hidden gem. They have spots right along the lake, and it was quiet and peaceful. It was primitive - no hookups at all - but there is a water fountain and some toilets. We didn't like the taste of the water, so I'd suggest filling up before you arrive, if you can. The owners were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
This place is a gem! It was an accidental find and I wish everyone knew about it. At the end of a dead end, quiet, rustic but clean and inviting. Affordable. Beautiful. Relaxing. The owner is a peach! It's just utterly amazing. I could have stayed a month and woke up to the waves lapping on the shore. What a place!
This place has no full hook ups. No wifi. No sewer or dump station. No water at sites. And only 20 amp service on a few sites, so no microwave and air conditioner. I LOVE IT. It's quite and peaceful. You're on Lake Huron and the water levels are the highest I've seen in the 16 years of coming here. You can hear the loons in the morning and not the boats. The rules are very simple. Use common sense. If you want to be loud, pick a site away from everyone else. Clean up after yourself and your dogs. The only water source is an ice cold artisan well. The outhouses are kept very clean, and for an outhouse, barely smells.
